The greatest journey is the one that leads inward.
A movement founded by Somya Khurana — born of a fourteen-year journey, and of a meeting with His Holiness the Dalai Lama — where timeless wisdom meets modern science.

Pragya by Somya
Pragya by Somya is not a philosophy created overnight. It is the culmination of more than fourteen years of seeking, questioning, learning and evolving — a journey across two seemingly different worlds that ultimately led to the same question: how do we move forward without losing connection with ourselves?
Somya Khurana's journey has taken her:
- From red carpets to the banks of the Ganga.
- From the grand hotels of Monaco to the simplicity of ashrams.
- From caviar and champagne to sattvic thalis.
- From the pace and privilege of modern life to conversations with spiritual masters, doctors, scientists, educators, and people who have experienced both extraordinary achievement and extraordinary adversity.
Beneath these contrasts was a deeper journey: from the world outside to the world within.
A defining moment came when Somya had the privilege of meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama. He encouraged her to explore how wisdom could become part of education, because science and wisdom cannot remain separate if children are to be truly prepared for life.
That conversation became more than inspiration. It became a responsibility.
What are we not teaching our children?
For the last seven years, Somya's enquiry has centred around a deceptively simple question.
Children spend years learning mathematics, science, geography, economics, language and technology. They are taught extensively about the world around them. But remarkably little about the human being living within them.
We prepare children to understand the external world. Pragya asks: who is preparing them to understand themselves?

The Missing Connection
Pragya begins with a simple belief: the human being cannot be understood in fragments.
The mind, body, gut, breath, emotions, environment, relationships and inner consciousness are deeply interconnected.
Human beings are constantly consuming and digesting far more than food. We digest:
- Information
- Conversations
- Relationships
- Images
- Experiences
- Environments
- Emotions
Everything we repeatedly consume has the potential to shape us.
- A thought can change our physiology.
- An emotion can change our breathing.
- Our breathing can influence our emotional state.
- Repeated thoughts and reactions gradually become patterns.
- Patterns become habits.
- And habits, particularly those formed in childhood, can accompany us throughout our lives.
This is why Pragya believes that awareness cannot begin only when adulthood becomes difficult. It must begin young.

Four counts in. Hold for two. Six counts out. One cycle is enough to notice the difference — the rest of the page will wait.
Children, and the adults around them
Well-being does not begin in a therapy room, or in adulthood. It begins much earlier, and it is learned.
- ChildrenLearning to name their emotions and breathe through challenges, long before life tests them.
- ParentsClosing the distance that modern life, screens and pressure quietly open up at home.
- EducatorsPractical tools that fit inside a school day, rather than one more thing to fit in.
- SchoolsProgrammes that treat well-being as part of an education, not an extra to be squeezed in.
Built with doctors, neuroscientists, spiritual masters, educators, scientists, business leaders and thought leaders.

No matter how advanced our world becomes, our deepest need will always be human connection.
We want the next generation to inherit not only a technologically advanced world, but an emotionally aware one — a world where wisdom, compassion and human relationships continue to have a place at the centre of progress.
